1) What is an Affiliate Program?
An affiliate program is a business-to-business partnership that allows companies to refer customers to our site and earn a commission for the sales created by these referrals.

2) Why should I join? What's in it for me?
With the FineStationery.com Affiliate program you can earn up to 5% on every sale that is referred to us from your site. For an average sale of $150 at FineStationery.com you will easily earn $8.00 just by putting one of our links on your site! You will also receive commissions on every return sale from the same customer within the next 30 days of their first visit!! We give you the best opportunities to earn the commission from your referrals!!

3) Does it cost anything to join?
This affiliate program is absolutely free to you!!

4) How do I join?
Through our partnership with Linkshare Network, it is quick and easy to apply to become an affiliate. Click here to apply now for free!! Completely fill out the brief online application and read and accept the Agreement Terms. You will then receive an automated email confirming receipt of your application. We will review your application as soon as possible (usually 1 to 2 business days) and upon your acceptance, simply place FineStationery.com text links and banners on your site and start earning money immediately!!

5) What is involved after I join?
After application approval, you will receive an email containing your username and password and detailed instructions on how to begin pulling our links and text.

6) Who is Linkshare?
The LinkShare Corporation is a New York based, independent organization, and is the largest provider of affiliate programs on the Internet. LinkShare provides the software that enables us to track affiliate activity and which allows you to view your activity as well.

7) Will you provide me with banners and graphics to use on my site?
We will provide all banners, graphics, textual links and other marketing support. Once you join and receive your username and password via e-mail you will be able to login at www.linkshare.com to receive all the images and codes you need. The affiliate management team will dynamically change the seasonal graphics for you. This means that if you download a Holiday graphic it will automatically update to the next holiday or seasonal graphic so that you do not have to manually change them yourself. Your security settings, firewalls, etc. need to be adjusted to allow dynamic replacement of graphics and banners otherwise we recommend that you manually change these seasonal banners yourself. We will not however dynamically change generic or everyday banners that may be more specific to your site.

8) Who does FineStationery.com want as affiliates?
FineStationery.com wants affiliates who are very interested in selling our products on their site. We encourage every interested site to apply for approval. We prefer sites that are:
  • Are tasteful and aesthetically pleasing
  • Do not contain adult content, pornography, offensive graphics or text
  • Are a fully live and functional site and not under heavy construction
  • Are reputable businesses and not personal homepages or personal websites

9) How do I know what I have sold and the commissions I've earned?
Once you apply and are approved you will receive a user name and password to login at www.linkshare.com to review your sales, account balances and how much commision you have earned.

10) When and how often do I get paid?
You will be paid monthly when your commissions exceed $25. All checks will be mailed to the billing contact you put on your Affiliate Application and will be mailed from LinkShare.

11) What products count for commission?
Every one of the over 19,000 fine stationery products sold at FineStationery.com count toward earning commission.

12) What about product returns?
If a customer referred by your site returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to online credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction.

13) What does 30-day referral credit mean and how will you know the orders came from my site?
30-day referral credit means that you will receive the credit and commission on all returning visits and sales that take place within a full 30 days after you send us a visitor. This way, if a customer clicks from your site to ours but doesn't initially buy from us - no matter what route they use to come back and purchase, within the next 30 days, the sale will be recorded for your site and you will receive the commission through LinkShare tracking. This way we are sure to give you the commission and thanks you deserve for sending the customer to our site!

14) I have more than one URL, can I register each of them?
You can register more than one URL as long as they are separate sites/companies and all of the URLs do not point to the same site or business.

15) How should I design my website?
As long as you do not violate our Affiliate Agreement you are allowed to design your site and promotions as you would like. Our newsletters will give you tips and strategies to best position graphics, products and promotions.

16) Can I use content from FineStationery.com on my site?
The entire FineStationery.com site is protected by copyright and all of the products shown on our site are protected by our vendors' copyrights. You will have to contact us for written approval before you can use any portion of our site graphics or content anywhere on your site.

17) Can a Website outside of the United States be an affiliate?
Yes, we welcome affiliates from anywhere in the world. FineStationery.com can ship merchandise all over the world (our customers simply call to receive an accurate shipping quote for their order). All commission checks to affiliates will be in US dollars.
